No, to programs that grow the government
No, to programs that take away freedoms
Don’t comment back-what about Bush? What about the Republicans? FYI I distrust them all. From the New World Order Bushes to the They-lied-to-me-Grandad-RINO McCain. From the, ‘’depends on what the definition of Yes is,” Clinton, to Spitz, to Rangel, to the rest of the perverts, tax evaders, and the, I’m-going-to-die-in-office politicians that have wreaked havoc on our nation just so they could to keep their sorry behinds in office.
Enough is enough is enough already.
term limits, and balanced budgets baby!!!
A.D.D. moment, someone actually was naïve enough to say that our elections were good enough term limits. …when 98% of incumbents get reelected? No! We need a way to get rid of them, they gain too much financial backing by the favors they do for all the money interests to be on a level playing field with the challengers.
The sad thing is, many people buy into the notion that, we need elected officials in office that have experience and can bring the funding home. Think about that. Many have bought into and espouse the big government progressive philosophy that the Federal Government should be spending their money and buying clout in the states. It wasn’t meant to be that way.
I can just hear some of you saying, Well, let’s do away with the interstate system and the post office, and the, and the and the… Would you like that, they pontificate with pride.
It’s a red herring: holding up one thought while you hide what the real argument is about; the real argument would be big government is not in our freedoms best interest, wielding too much power, Lording over the states, usurping the states responsibility. It’s in the constitution as well. You know theamendment that says the feds should… Well, here it is verbatim. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Are you telling me, that those old fuddy duddies who wrote the constitution foresaw the Fed trying to take over responsibilities that maybe it shouldn’t be worrying about? Imagine that -absolute power corrupts absolutely theory-.
Ooh “foresaw”, that’s like a “religious term. Watch out!!! Religious fanatic alert.
In their wisdom and guidance from on high, as many of them believed and voiced, they wisely were aware of contingencies that could occur in the republic due to greed, corruptness, immorality etc.
And thus we have the tenth amendment
NOW BACK TO WHAT I WAS THINKING-TERM LIMITS AND
My solution : MAKE TERM LIMITS A REALITY. AND—
FOR ELECTIONS:
- no private money. Zero! Nada!
- Public funded campaigns with a certain dollar cap.
- No loopholes.
- No commercials
- Televised Debates
- A website where responsible Americans could go to learn about the candidates’ stands on issues and the voting record or bio of what they have done in their lives.
- No campaign staff hoards allowed
- No organized groups campaigning for the candidates
- No get out the vote groups bussing people in to polls, even paying people to vote
If we did things like this, this is not a complete list by any means, people would have to want to get involved in order to find out about the candidates. They would have to research. The clueless and uneducated, wouldn’t get involved, as much, because it would require an effort.
Contrary to what many believe, voting is a privilege. You should be willing to make an effort to do it. And if you don’t care enough to find out about a candidate, then I hope you stay home and don’t vote! Oooooooooh, I am such a hater.
Sure, sure people would be disenfranchised. Some people vote for those who will give them things duh. They need to be left out.
Voting is to put people in office that will: Provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, as outlined in the constitution not what the progressives interpret the constitution to mean. They need to do what’s good for the country, not what’s good for themselves!
Remember, JFK’s words?
Yes, it should be in English. That’s our language. Just like Christianity is the religion the country was founded on. It’s elementary my dear citizen. Ooooh, more hate.
We’ll tackle borders language and culture tomorrow.
