History Repeats Itself

May 24, 2009 in A Fight For Our Culture by cvlambson

Garet Garett’s The Peoples Pottage A 1953 work that reviews the remaking of America by FDR. You can’t believe the similarities to what is going on now. They care not about the economy. They have and are creating the crisis to drastically remake the USA, the completion of the welfare state.

The more I learn about what is being done the more I realize that we all must join the fight. WE MUST REPEAL THE 16TH AND 17TH AMMENDMENT AND TAKE OUR MONEY AWAY FROM THESE NEO MARXISTS.

Please refer to the article on a call for fellows. We have to get together and get moving for the next elections.

The Truth From Cheney

May 21, 2009 in They Gotta be Crazy by cvlambson

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/05/21/raw-data-text-dick-cheneys-national-security-speech-aei/ Here is the link from Vice President Cheney’s speech in response to Mr Obama. Send it to everyone you know. Talk to everyone about it. You can compare it to Obama’s and see the propoganda versus the reality. Obama’s message is the same weak compromising male cow feces that we get in our public schools and media. I’m ok and your ok. Sorry to tell  you Mr. Obama, there are wackos that don’t give a crap about your feigned morality. When the bully comes to take my lunch money, he is gonna get his butt kicked and I will bring a big stick if I need to. He doesn’t need a talk with the counselor to work out his early childhood memories. My method is a lot quicker and leaves no excuses.

By Their Fruits Ye Shall Know Them #2

May 21, 2009 in By Their Fruits by cvlambson

Progressive Principle #2 Government must set up a system that levels the playing field taking from the producers and giving to the non-producers to create equality.

It would be great to have everybody equal in the amount of material goods that every citizen has. Who wouldn’t want that? I vote Yes!!!

But as you look at the principle a little more closely what you find is quite the opposite of the intent of  progressive principle #2. Instead of creating a society full of love and stability the principle  actually  promotes mediocrity across all producers and creates trickle up poverty damning the receivers of wealth distribution to a life of endless dissatisfaction .

As my high school wrestling coach, Ralph Harris, used to say, “excuses are for losers, quit making them.” Not everybody wins in life. Not everybody is going to feel good about themselves. And that’s ok. Failure is ok, it prepares us, makes us tougher so we can deal with the kick in the face that life sometimes gives us.

The progressive principle that life should be more fair has no basis in reality. Life is not fair, so get off your butt, dust yourselves off, and get back into the game instead of in the social programs line. Like a coddling parent spoils, some would say ruins, a developing child’s sense of self-worth,  government makes charity cases weak when they try to keep from us the reality that life is not fair. By the reception of life sustaining material, money, we lose confidence in our ability to win, to achieve, to survive.

Hardship is the factory of character, without hardships we are piles of jelly, amoeba-like slumping into the lowest common denominator we can find, like a pet waiting for the master to give it it’s next meal.

My cynical side says that there are those in the progressive movement that feel that the average man is capable of nothing more than mediocrity and that government has to subsidize these wretches, because they have not the character, ability, or intelligence to do anything more than dig ditches and live in a shack. The ironic part is that as a government spoils a segment of the population, that segment honors the ruling body with their loyalty, never knowing that they are being setup for failure and thought of as second-class lowlifes, mere rabble, easily manipulated, easily propagandized. For after all, aren’t they putting food in kids mouths and clothes on families backs?

Do you see how devious principle #2 is? Under the guise of compassion and philanthropy, the progressives enslave a population, stifle their growth, shackle them with doubt, and pat them on the back as they close and lock  the door on a successful future, put the key in their own pocket and smile wistfully to themselves at how compassionate they are. But in their eye there is emptiness because they know somewhere within that they are hollow, empathy-, whited sepulchers unwilling to share of their own substance for the poor, but willing to freely share your substance  thereby pacifying their guilt for being selfish themselves.

What to do? What to do?

May 17, 2009 in What can you do? by cvlambson

By CURTIS on March 19, 2009 8:25 AM

Throw the bums, all of them Republican and Democrat alike, out.

The America your great grandparents knew is disappearing, all under the guise of economical rebuilding. We must say no to watered down conservatism and democracy. We must say no to the secular humanism and reverse what has been done to the constitution from Woodrow Wilson to now.

We must demand:

1. First the repeal of the 16th and 17th amendments.

2. Then, we must demand a balanced budget amendment.

a. Americans want their government to live within a budget just like Joe and Jane public do. We must pass a balance budget amendment now!!! Never ever print money to pay bills. Never borrow money from another country. Float bonds or don’t do the projects.

3. After that is done, we must institute term limits for these power hungry politicians.

a. If the common man/woman who wants to serve this country and run for political office finds that the government is too hard too run, then government is too big and complicated to run, it surely is involved in things it shouldn’t be, and should shrink until it is simple enough for an individual with regular intelligence to run. The states should be taking care of their own situations. This is what was intended by our forefathers.

4. Cap spending on campaigns

a. Prohibit private donations.

b. Make all funds come from the public trough.

5. Get rid of lobbyists. Let each representative and senator have a research staff to get info on things to be voted on.

6. Drastically reduce social programs. Return to the constitution and get out of the business of saving everybody. Churches and families should be the lifeline for people in need.

7. Get rid of subsidies to American industries. Reverse the anti-capitalist decisions of President Obama.

8. Drill, drill, drill our own oil and gas and use our coal while incentivizing the green industries. The genius of freedom will solve the problem when you give it a reason. Do not tax the people creating jobs or they won’t create more jobs.

9. Government cannot create wealth it is a parasite using our money and has no product.

10. Prohibit earmarks of any kind. Vote on article per article.

AFTER WE HAVE CLEANED HOUSE, THINGS WE MUST DEMAND FROM OUR POLITICIANS

Maybe if you worked year round we could understand you getting a raise.

From this day forward, fly economy class and talk to the public while you’re flying to help keep the pulse of the common man.

Drive your own car to work. Pay for your own parking. Pay for your own tickets back and forth to your districts and states. It’s called living a normal life, which you have forgotten how to do.

When a senator or representative lies knowingly, in the next sentence they should resign. And if they don’t, turn it over to the police and call it fraud, which is what is being committed on us by these lowlifes.

I am not brilliant, but aren’t these the thoughts of millions upon millions of us.

OFF THE CUFF SLAP AT IGNORAMUSES:

One final note> All you young, ignorant sycophants who lined up behind Obama like you were going to a rock concert. It was Thomas Jefferson who said, a government that can give you everything has the power then to take it all away.

WHAT WE AS CITIZENS MUST DO

Voting is not enough anymore. We must become involved like the progressives have done. My Father always says we must fight anew the battle for freedom in every generation. Freedom is not free and at this moment in history is the time for each of us to engage in the battle. Obama is poised to change this country into something our founding fathers would not recognize and is doing it from within. The battle will rage on many fronts, from taking back our schools to taking back our industries from the state.

Read the constitution and the federalist papers and you will see that we are racing headlong into a progressive buzz saw the likes of which you haven’t seen since you got your butt whipped by an all powerful parent when you didn’t do what that parent said-in other words Tyranny

(Paul Rahe). Soft Despotism, Democracy’s Drift: Montesquieu, Rousseau, Tocqueville, and the Modern Prospect

A Call for Fellows, HELP!!!

May 10, 2009 in A Fight For Our Culture by cvlambson

“We are what we are. We’re Republicans, and we have certain things we believe in,” Former Vice President Dick Cheney commented on the CBS program “Face the Nation”. (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/05/10/cheney-powell-left-republican-party/)

This is what many politicians and all progressives don’t understand. When your ideology is based on eternal principles of truth, changing your position is ludicrous. You don’t change your position you abandon truth to go elsewhere.

This is what candidates do to appeal to a broader range of citizens. They move to a position that may be appealing to a higher number of citizens. People of integrity will not do that. They will explain why they believe as they do and live as they do and will continue to adhere to the timeless principles, let the world do what it may.

America wants people of principle to run their government. They don’t want people whose ethics change with the latest poll or the latest trend. Where are those people today?

We must find them in the next year and a half. We must organize ourselves in every corner of this land and find people to represent us whose governing will be based on eternal principles, the principles upon which this nation was established. I am looking for Fellows to join me in this quest.

We here at Ksense need the following:

An IT Fellow to set up the technology.

A legal Fellow.

A Constitution Fellow.An Educational Fellow.

A Defense Fellow.

A Health Fellow.

An Economic Fellow.

A Social Services Fellow.

A Morality Fellow.

An Energy Fellow.

(List not complete)

I need an IT person first. This blog is about all I can manage and yet I have the Plan for so much more. If you would like to work with me, send a cover letter and resume to Curtis@myoldfashionedlife.com. I will soon have a questionnaire to help choose these fellows. I would like to have them in place by July 4th 2009. Right now there is no pay, only an opportunity to do something.

The Silencing of the Majority

May 8, 2009 in Progressive Philosophy, The 2nd Civil War, What can you do? by cvlambson

Progressives have written the news-speak for the age (Orwell’s 1984). They have created a vocabulary that shuts off debate and demonizes those who have a different opinion than they do. If I don’t agree with their logical statements,  there is an attack on my personal integrity. It goes something like this:

What? You don’t want those huddled masses to be able to survive when they get here? You don’t want those that are here to be able to have a good life in the greatest country on the face of the earth? You must be a selfish hate monger. Maybe you are a racist, because, we all know that minorities don’t have the wealth of the Caucasian Americans.

And with that approach they have driven many of the thinking Americans into the corner where we sit confused and silent. Because, we do not want people to think that there is a possibility that those labels are correct. The problem is like Abraham Lincoln said, and I paraphrase, That which we believe in strongly and do nothing about, makes cowards of us.

When journalists and leaders spout that we are griping only because our president is black and not because he is a socialist, they are implementing a plan to quiet the orderly that they may go forward unabated.

Here is my promise to you. If risking being called a radical is the result of my quest to search and admonish timeless, eternal truths, then so be it. I take my place among the radicals of the past who would not be silent while their communities and their nations were ravaged by tyrants of despotism. Will you rise with me and spend more time and effort espousing truth to the belligerent, arrogant leaders of our nation until they have returned in shame to their homes unable to harm us again for wwe have risen and spoken at the voters box and on every street corner that we will not go quietly into the dungeons of Socialism, Marxism, Communism etc.

By Their Fruits You Will Know Them #1

May 8, 2009 in By Their Fruits by cvlambson

In this and columns that follow, the writer, in an effort to argue against the progressive platform, will discuss the results of progressive policy and the reason for the  unintentional consequences that occur:

If a person puts forth an idea in a legislative body in this country, It usually has some intentions behind it. It may have the intention of fulfilling the need of a constituent. It may have the intent of fulfilling the desires of a backer. It may have the intent of moving our country towards the ideological position of the creator of the idea. it may have the intent of upholding the ideology of the nation’s founders. There are probably other areas of impetus for the legislation brought in front of the bodies that make the rules for our lives. these will suffice for this discussion.

You can’t always tell when you implement an idea that you have come up with  whether or not it’s a good idea or a bad idea. The intent of the idea may be noble. All involved may agree that it would be a great’ thing’ if the idea were to come to fruition.

You have heard the old adage, “That was a bust”. Oftentimes, unforeseen by the creator, unintended consequences of an  action occur. Sadly, this is the case for many of the ideas implemented by well-intentioned politicians.

let’s say, for the sake of argument, that the policies implemented by all politicians all originate from the best of intentions. Let’s say that all politicians go into political arena to make a positive impact, albeit their version of a positive impact. I am wiling, as should we all be, to give this benefit of a doubt to progressive of all types. What i don’t want to do is get into a mudslinging fight with my liberal friends and neighbors. So please, if you are of the progressive persuasion, now is a great opportunity to use that open mind you are famous for.

Progressive Idea #1:

The responsibility of government is to implement policy that makes the lives of every American bearable.

I vote yes!!! I want to see everyone in this country succeed.

who is going to be against that? No one! Didn’t we say, “give me your tired your poor,  your huddled masses  yearning to be free.

This will be the crux of all the arguments I have against progressive ideology

There is a problem with the tenets of the Progressive Idea #1. It has as an unspoken, probably unwitted, by most of the progressives, foundational belief. Are you ready for this? Its tenets are founded in the belief that man/woman cannot take care of situations that occur and must be helped by government.

This is what the founders of the European democracies believed. Intheir experience they had not seen mankind take care of itself.  the explanation for that is simple. they had been under various forms of tyranny from the beginning of their known history. What else should they have believed? All they knew about were monarchs and their ilk. In the book by Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America. The book goes through his observations of the American landscape and shows the differences between this land’s poli-social environment  and that environment he had lived in while in France. This is a great read for the American who wants to know how we became the most powerful and beneficent nation on earth.

Now, if you are truly open minded, my fellow progressive Americans, you will read this book and ponder it like I have read and pondered one of your scriptures by Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals. In their you will find the 1st reason why I can refute the idea that we need to be taken care of like a bunch of pets.

The 2nd reason comes from our purpose on earth. If we have a purpose and if there is a G-d, He wants us to learn to live righteously like he does. That does not happen when  a human being is forced to do things, even if the things they are forced to do are right. We learn by being faced with situations and reacting to those based on the way we believe we should act in the given situation. That is what the founding fathers set up.

Tyranny had not worked, any form of tyranny , even soft tyranny. It did not free the human spirit to be all it could be. The nation had to be protected from the world , because the founders knew that the world would come and want to take over what was here; therefore the federal government was set up to take care of a few things like, “provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, ensure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our prosperity.” that was it’s purpose nothing else. this is what Touqueville found when he came here. Groups of people governed by themselves, taking care of the needs of the community.

So really, the progressive movement doesn’t have any new ideas, just old biases about the ability of man to do good, given the right environment.

We had that environment. We are losing it. We can regain it. but only if we fight anew the fight for our individual freedom like every generation before us.

Stay tuned for Progressive Idea #2

A Rabble Rouser

May 7, 2009 in Spending it like it grows on trees, They Gotta be Crazy by cvlambson

When you study under the tutelage of riff-raff, you learn how to act like riff raff. When you study under respectful, law-abiding people with character, you learn how to be such a person.

I wonder how many “decent” people that President Obama has been tutored by?

Given his associations with terrorists (Ayers and the weather underground), and hate mongering pastors (Reverend Wright), and don’t forget his study of the tactics of Saul Linskey, the type of ”change” that he is bringing to Washington probably seems perfectly normal to him.

My fellow Americans. It is up to us to help him understand that this kind of bullying behavior gets you sent to the principles office, gets you arrested, makes you a public nuisance. Which is what his philosophy of the “community organizer” is all about. It stems from the idea that the, “squeeky wheel gets the grease”.

In his little, selfish, anti-establishment, let’s get the man world, it is normal, even lauded. You make a stink, somebody notices and then maybe you can scream loud enough that people will want you to shutup, so they will address the issue you are screaming about to get you to disappear. It’s like a kid throwing a tantrum in the grocery store. They kn ow that you are going to do what they ask because you want to stop the screaming. My kids did the same thing until they learned that when they got home they got spanked and lost their privileges. Of course that would be too barbaric for today’s acquiescing parents that think they can reason with a three year old and are too full of themselves to realize they are getting played by that three year old.

So, while the Obama administration seems to be honorably dealing with the made up swine/Mexican flu, he plays slight of hand with other issues: Gun control, the gaffe with the vouchers in DC schools that are working, the medical research funding that he is planning to boost from 4.7 billion to 429 billion dollars, the closing of tax shelters for the nations wealthy, Supreme Court nominees to change the balance of power to the libs and set a precedent that does not rely on the constitution and the rule of law but on feelings and compassion(see my blog on that issue), downplaying the national day of prayer, ramming his socialist, yea even Marxist, plan for America down our throats while we are covering our self-absorbed noses about the lie of a swine flu epidemic.

For Pete’s sake Americans, the flu virus kills 35000 people a year in this country and we have a vaccine every year.

You better be keeping an eye on what the magician is doing in his left hand cause his right hand is hypnotizing you just like his Hollywood star status did to the minions that marched trans-like into the voting booth.

The plan is, get it in place before the American people come out of their trance. Because if they do come out of it before he can get much of his agenda in place. He knows that we will be putting the brakes on his little power grab trip like a mom stops the eating of her hidden chocolate bar by the toddler of the house.

Stay tuned for what you can do to join the war on our borders, language, culture, and Constitution.

Oh Nobama to Raise Medical Research Spending from 4.8 billion to 429 Billion or More

May 6, 2009 in Spending it like it grows on trees by cvlambson

President O’Nobama publicly shared Specter’s concern about funding for research last week at the National Academy of Sciences. Obama bemoaned, On CBS’ “Face the Nation,”what he described as insufficient funding for overall scientific research, pledging to make a “historic” investment with the goal of directing 3 percent of the country’s GDP toward such research and development

I started wondering about what we were going to pay for O’Nobama’s increase in money spent on medical research. I checked the GDP and found that in 2008 our GDP was 14.3 trillion. What would he do? double the expenditure maybe? Tripling it would be way out there right?

How much would O’Nobama’s increase be?

14.3 trillion multiplied by .03.

that’s 429 billion. Isn’t it. That’s actually a 424 billion dollar increase from the Bush years. How can that be? Where is it going to come from? What are they thinking?

For a clue, realize that the defense budget is a little bigger than that right now. My guess is, that’s where he’s going to get it. Slash defense, put it in research. You thought our vulnerability was increased in the Clinton years. He makes Clinton look like a five star general.

How in the world does he continue to get away with this? It’s very simple, if you didn’t already know it. Nobody asks him questions.

He says it, it must be true, and no one in the media calls him on it. How else would you explain it when he is able to say, straight-faced that now is a time for fiscal responsibility when his projected debt will be more than the debt created  by all presidents from GW to GWB combined.

Heaven help us; we have Socialist in the White House.
