Whether or not they pass this legislation today, I predict there will be a grass roots movement like you’ve never seen in this country to put some sanity into the insane power hungry establishment we call the federal government. We have watched both the Republicans and the Democrats wheel, deal, and steal their way into a career of power and then fall prey to corruption. The following is a beginning to the change that needs to occur. And you Republicans better hope and pray that your records will keep you in office, cause we are angry at all of you for the damage you have done to the constitution with your interpretations that satisfy your lust for power.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and get back to work
1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below. A. Two Six year Senate terms B. Six Two year House terms C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension: A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security: All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can create their own retirement plan just like the rest of us.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11 .
9. To be continued…
The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
Here’s is a letter I received that about sums it up:
Dear Friends,I am including below a one page letter attached with an eletter that has been circulating, that I personally sent to both Utah State Senators and both Utah State Congressmen. I want to share my point of view with you. You don’t have to read it, I don’t wish to coerce, offend or anger anyone with any of the emails I send out. I merely share things that I value of great importance and or educational. I don’t send or forward them to get anyone to agree with me, but merely as information for one to choose to read or not to read and disseminate as you see fit.
I have discovered that truth & knowledge is power. We live in a most amazing time, to have access to unbelievable amounts of information at our fingertips. We have to use caution when we send out any old information, and I regret that I have done this as well, naively believing it’s coming from someone telling the truth, so I have tried to be careful to check the information I forward as well, but even then some of it I find later isn’t(viable). If I sent it, it was not meant for you to take as bible, merely information to contemplate and think about, and maybe even inspire to educate yourselves further. It’s healthy for us as Americans to have our own opinions and to be able to voice and share them with others. It has been through open opinions of my friends and family that has helped me become a better person, and inspired me to educate myself, and share with, warn & help educate my friends, family and neighbors. So I send this to share, do with it what you may. Much care & Love to you all,

Dear Honorable Senators Orrin Hatch & Bob Bennett, Congressmen Jim Mattheson & Jason Chaffetz,
I am writing to encourage you to continue in opposing Obama’s Health Care Bill. I write personally as a concerned citizen regarding the effects a mega-convoluted bureaucratic abolition to our liberty this will have on America if passed. When will the politicians of our Country who are supposed to protect our rights not by passing more ludicrous and facetious laws see that the government was never meant to Legislate decency, nor can it! Decency comes from morality and principle. And it will never be a part of freedom and liberty to make decency a law. I hope you understand what I’m trying to tell you, because this is the crux of all of the problems with all of the issues that our politicians are trying to legislate and pass into law.
As for the health care bill, I have experienced being the poor, the weary, and the needy without health insurance. I have also experienced Medicaid & Medicare. I would choose irrevocably to not have health insurance over being given Medicaid, Medicare or forced (government mandated) insurance. In the past, I learned that not even the Doctors will care for my health (and children’s health) as I will. I am responsible to care for this, not a Doctor, nurse, or health care provider that I see once or twice a year, some once in a lifetime. My health welfare (and my children’s health welfare) is MY responsibility to provide or MY responsibility to seek help from individuals and resources that are not government sanctioned and mandated to help me. Government sanctioned services is a worthless black hole of our tax money that offer only oppression to a human being. I now realize from past experience through wisdom, that we as a people have got to quit looking to someone for a hand up, a hand out or a free ride. This type of mind set instills oppression. Our health is our own to own.
The best scenario for government would be to take their hands out and off of businesses (personal & groups). The only thing that government should be passing is laws to be enforced when these individuals or entities violate someone’s rights, and freedoms, through a justice system, the way the founders intended the process to continue. Not with more laws that oppress and violate our inalienable right.
However I am saddened to think that too much has already been happening for decades for any of this to change back to what the Founders intended. So I am just asking you to consider, contemplate with an open mind that no one in politics (including yourself) really understands the American underserved – we the people. Government is happy to enforce us to acknowledge an illegal Alien’s rights, in a country they do not have to legally become a citizen. Government, Politicians, the wealthiest Elitists have forgotten and do not know we the regular (mass), the citizens, we the people that have fought, forged, and served here all our lives! We have made America flourish through our blood, sweat and tears. We are the ones who have impressed upon and taught our children morals, values, responsibilities and principles along with the importance of serving our neighbors, friends, strangers and many times our enemies. Past & future laws requiring us to lose our individual rights; such as forcing companies and entities to provide us health insurance, making us take these benefits and making us pay for someone else’s health care will not make America or American’s better but will only oppress more. If this is what you’ve aspired to do, then I would say, “good job”.
I say again, you will never be able to Legislate decency no matter how much you try; you will only be bringing us to our knees.
Please do not give in to adopting ANY health care plan through government, in fact I CHALLENGE you to have the integrity to look into the behavioral effects that this type of mind set will continue to procreate. What I presented here is nothing new and has plenty of past and current history to back it up. Please do not continue to propagate the adapted skewed mind set of being taken care of by government.
We as an individual need to serve the underserved, choosing to do so with principle and care, we can and, when left top ourselves, do it now. But when forced (taxes, etc.) to serve is mandated, it leads and has lead to resentment, elitism, pride, prejudice and ridicule. I just keep hoping and praying that a political leader will finally wake up and take a stand for these principles and truths.
Could that person be you?!!!!
